I made this finder mockup out of the interest of macOS Big Sur. I love the idea of using flat translucency and shading to capsulate hierarchy and depth. Creating rich materials in an OS interface is the pinnacle of user experience.

This mockup was made using simple html and css. I used SVGs for consistency across scaling in size and dimension. Although we have moved onto a new era of 3D glass design, macOS Big Sur will remain one of my favorite design languages for the Mac.
